effect和affection的区别是：意思不同、用法不同、侧重点不同
一、意思不同
1、effect 的意思是：效应; 影响; 结果；所有物，财物 ；使发生； 实现；引起
例句：
This will have a negligible effect on the temperature.
这对温度的影响将是微乎其微的。
2、affection的意思是：钟爱，喜爱，爱，爱慕，好感，影响，作用
例句：
He's so susceptible that she easily gained his affection.
他易受感情影响，所以她很轻易就得到了他的爱。
二、用法不同
1、effect作“结果,影响”“感受,印象”等解时，既可用作可数名词，也可用作不可数名词；作“个人财产,财物”解时常用复数形式。effect用作及物动词，表示“引起”“实现”“使生效”,接名词或代词作宾语。可用于被动结构。
2、affection作“喜爱，深挚的感情”解时，是不可数名词，但前面可用不定冠词和修饰语，后面可接介词for或towards。用于复数时，意思是“爱情，感情”。
三、侧重点不同
1、effect作“影响”讲时，侧重于指身体上的影响。
2、affection作“影响”讲时，侧重于指思想上的影响。
effect可以作名词，也可以作动词用。
名词effect是“效果，作用”的意思。
举例：
The advertisement didn't have much effect on sales.
广告并没有起到多少促销作用。
动词effect是“影响”的意思。
举例：
This book effects me.
这本书影响着我。
affection只能作名词用。
有“爱,感情,作用,影响”等多种涵义。
当它理解为“作用，影响”时，和effect的名词用法一致。但affection通常都作为“感情”来解释。。
