1、Include  指一个整体包含着各独立的部分，也指一种东西包含另一东西的某一部分。强调“包括作为整体的一部分”。例如：

• A good British breakfast always includes sausages.  一顿丰盛的英式早餐总会包括香肠。

• The trip has been extended to include a few other events.  旅程被延长，其他几项活动也被包括进来

• The list includes many British internationals.  名单中包括了许多英国国际级选手。

2、contain 指所涉及的物体常常是其组成部分或内容。强调包容关系。既可指具体有形的东西，也可指抽象无形的东西。例如：

• The bag contained a Christmas card.  这个包里装着一张圣诞卡。

• Factory shops contain a wide range of cheap furnishings.  工厂车间里陈设着种类繁多的廉价家具。

• Many cars run on petrol which contains lead.  很多车使用含铅汽油。
